Music Review: The Moment...... with FIKE

By experience and observation it is often easier to moan, grumble (over our wants and have-nots) than to see any reason to express our gratitude (at least for life, unto God).
I guess it’s a lifelong trait of man’s insensitivity (or if you like, sheer short-sightedness) of our purpose in life.

Richie and Dana Fike’s pensive parody “The Moment we've been waiting For” invites the believer into that place where acknowledging and appreciating the presence of God’s Grace becomes natural.

Stringing out melodic fresh tunes these full label debutant singing couples offer a reflective arrangement of contemporary and soulful congregational praise/worship ballads. With a diverse but easy-listening repertoire that fuses mild-tempered alt-pop musical styles within an acoustic folk ambience, FIKE has definitely ripened to inspire a whole congregational billow of praise.

Standout tracks for me on the 13-track album are two among others – these includes “That’s Why I Praise” & the mellifluous “Jehovah” anthem!
